BMW 8-series

The BMW 8 Series is a V8 or V12-engined Grand Tourer built by BMW from 1989 to 1999. A common misconception is that the 8 Series was developed as a successor. However, it was actually an entirely new class for BMW and the BMW e31 was made for a different market. They came out in diffrent engine sizes as well, the V8 is a 4.0l and the V12 is a 5.0l. They only came out in coupe.
